Description

Transformers Soundwave AFA NM 80 (B75/W85/F90) Series 1/With Rubsign (Hasbro, 1984). Many toy lines found their home in the 80's but few had the immediate impact like Transformers. From the genius collaboration of Takara, Hasbro, and Marvel came the dawn of Generation 1 (G1) Transformers. Despite battling for shelf-space along with He-Man, Star Wars, and G.I. Joe, the futuristic Transformer line didn't stay on shelves for long. Kids were immediately invested in these new transforming robots. Featured here is one of the most desired Transformers among the entire G1 line, "Soundwave." The cassette player hides a heavily armed 'Soundwave," while the cassette hides a transforming "Buzzsaw." The exceptional design behind these figures almost always included tiny details such as the cassette can be stored in Soundwave's chest.

Finding a G1 mint in sealed box transformer is incredibly difficult. Especially since they were closed with a mere strip of tape on both ends. This Soundwave presents well with a number of scratches and dings along the edges of the box. Due to the incredible rarity of finding sealed G1 transformers you do not want to miss a chance to own this sought-after piece to your collection. AFA has graded this figure an NM 80 with subgrades B75 W85 and F90.
