Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars Spider-Man (Black Suit) w/Secret Shield Figure (Mattel, 1984). Having left Mego Toys and seeing the success of DC's Super Powers toy line, Marvel partnered with Mattel, of He-Man fame, to develop their own line of action figures. Enter Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars, a line of toys that coincided with a comic book event of the same name. Each figure came with its own Secret Shield donning a lenticular image of the character's identity. Featured here is Spider-Man in his all new black costume. Introduced in issue #8 of the Secret Wars mini-series, Spider-Man's new suit found on Battle World sports an all black motif with a large white logo. This imagery has become an iconic look for the Web Slinger as well as the infamous villain, Venom. This figure comes new in original packaging. Packaging has minor handling wear and card has very minor foxing on back. Overall in fine condition.
