Description
Batman Japanese Red Tin Batmobile Race Car with Original Box (Aoshin, 1966). This red tin Batmobile race car was released by Aoshin for the Japanese market in 1966. It is battery powered and has a red lithographed body with red plastic fins. The bumpers are unpainted tin and Batman has a plastic head over a lithographed tin body. Batman and a logo adorn the front of the car while "Batmobile" is written on both doors and the trunk. The original box is also included which has medium to heavy wear. The box cover has small tears in 3 corners and is indented with wear and creasing. Both the box top and bottom show additional staple holes so it looks like they have been replaced. There is writing in pencil on the box bottom. The car has medium wear with some surface scratches and paint loss in spots. The colors are still bright and vivid. The plastic Batman head has some paint wear and there is aging on the tin bumpers and edge of the windshield. The bottom also shows some scratches. The battery compartment is clean, but the car is untested so no guarantee can be made of its working condition.Auction Info
