    Tom Jones ornate performance belt attributed to Elvis Presley. (ca. 1970s) Original white polyester stage costume belt. Constructed of white fabric panels ornamented with 3-clear bead and faux ruby faceted crystal clusters, and steel and plastic blue baguette stone embellishment. Steel grommets at the bottom of the belt hold double-strand loops of metal chain. The front panel features a larger, blossom-shaped assemblage similar to the ruby and bead clusters on the rest of the belt. With hook and eye fastening closure. A cut black glass and white crystal broach pin ornaments the back of the belt. Retaining the fabric label on the interior of the belt embroidered, "Custom Tailored for Elvis Presely". Comes with a framed 1983 Proclamation of appreciation from then governor of the State of Georgia, Joe Frank Harris. Belt and proclamation were discovered together in a storage facility. Elvis and Tom Jones were friends who appeared together often throughout the 70s and 80s. Belt exhibits some soiling and missing gems. Proclamation is framed. In vintage very good condition.
