(1900s-1930s) Focusing tightly on the three decades widely considered the "golden age" of theatrical costume design, this exceptional collection of (100+) vintage oversize approx. 11 x 14 in. single- and double-weight photographs features chorus girls and stage ingénues in glorious stage costumes by Erte, Paul Poiret, Gilbert Adrian (two decades before The Wizard of Oz), Alice O'Neill, Alberto Vargas, Jacques Doucet, Homer Conant, Andre Sherri, Baron de Meyer, Shirley Baker, Vera West and Cora MacGeachy to name just a few. Also included in this uniquely visual archive are a number of fine-art photographs of stage personalities, by photographers including Rudolph Eickemeyer, James Abbe, Alexander Dreyfoos (Apeda), Edward Thayer Monroe, Hixon-Connelly and others.
