DescriptionThe Karate Kid Part III Original (172) Storyboard Artwork and Materials by Richard Lasley (Columbia, 1984). Original complete hand drawn (172) storyboards and other material accomplished in pencil on 8.5" x 11" artists paper
leaves. Depicting most scenes from the beloved martial arts, coming of age movie. Richard Lasley was engaged to create storyboards for the entire movie except for the final climactic showdown, when the director John Avildson
preferred to film more spontaneously, with multi-camera setups. These storyboards were used on set daily to illustrate setups and action to crew and actors. Postproduction, the (166) pages of storyboards, averaging 4-panels per page, were sleeved and assembled in sequence in this 11.25" x 11.25" x 3" black 3-ring binder to aid editors in articulating Avildson's vision through Lasley's masterful drawings. Also includes 5-production photographs, and 1-Lasley hand drawn artist's marker and pencil Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) character illustration signed by Lasley. In production used Fine condition. COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Personal Collection of Artist Richard Lasley.
