    Sylvester Stallone Owned and Heavily Annotated Script Rocky III Script (MGM, 1982). Vintage original Sylvester Stallone personal Rocky III screenplay from the star's home office files. Presented in a custom black leather binder, embossed with film's title, the "Italian Stallion" logo, and star's name, screenplay by Sylvester Stallone, dated "1/22/81," marked "Rev." 127 pages, with multi-color revision pages throughout, numerous, with highly detailed hand annotations in various colors of ink throughout in Stallone's hand. Includes storyboarding, dialogue changes, shot lists, and costume notes. Also includes a complete cast and crew contact list, and four typed pages of Clubber Lang fight choreography.

    Annotation highlights include:
    Pg. 7. In the scene where Clubber Lang speaks to a sportscaster, Stallone has handwritten additional dialog in the margin, "My whole life is directed to the title - nothing else! I live alone, I train alone and I will win alone."

    Pg. 17 features the scene when Stallone tries to win Adrian back through song. He has changed the lyrics from "sh, bloop" to "doo doo doo.."

    Pg. 18-19 features an entire handwritten shot list for the "Thunderlips' (Hulk Hogan) exhibition Wrestling match.

    Pg. 38 features hand-drawn storyboards of the unveiling of the Rocky statue in Philadelphia.

    Pg. 40, on the verso of the page featuring "Rocky's first encounter with 'Clubber Lang,'" Stallone writes in pen, "Never smile - Smiling means you're expecting to be judged by the viewers and therefore overly nervous. - Stay mean."

    Pg. 93, in a 4-page exchange between Rocky and Adrian, Stallone has written copious notes, dialog changes, and character markers, excising two whole printed pages and rewriting dialog in the margins.

    Pg. 105, on the verso, Stallone has written a shot list for the Clubber Lang match which begins with the fighters entering the ring to the singing of the National Anthem to the fighters walking into the center ring in close up.

    Measures 2" x 10" x 12". As far as condition goes, there are a few holes breeched on 3-hole punched paper, leaving pages detached but present. Exhibiting production handling, minor soiling, and light edge wear, with a Very Good condition. Provenance: Heritage Auctions "Stallone - The Auction" December 18 - 20, 2015, Los Angeles, Lot 89019 and sold for $21,250. Comes with a LOA from Sylvester Stallone/Heritage Auctions.
