Syd Mead signed original artwork "The Party" for the United States Steel Portfolio. (ca. 1960s) Vintage original futuristic painting accomplished in gouache on 30 x 20 in. artist's board. Depicting a future where people travel by sky pods. Created for a U.S. Steel portfolio project during the time Syd Mead worked for Hansen and Company in Chicago. This was one of many images for the project of which many of the paintings were printed as posters. Signed in the lower left of art, Syd Mead". Exhibiting edge wear, surface loss and adhesive residue from previous mat removal. The central image remains fresh and clean. In overall vintage very good condition.
