Description
Star Trek Harlan Ellison "The City on the Edge of Forever" Teleplay (1967). A copy of a teleplay for one of the most memorable and beloved episodes of the original Star Trek TV series. Though writer Harlan Ellison receives sole credit on the teleplay, there was input and rewrites from other writers, including show creator Gene Roddenberry. Ellison would later publish his original version of the script in 1975. Ellison and Roddenberry had a very public feud about changes to the script and Ellison's pay for the script for decades. Ellison would later receive ample payment after he filed a lawsuit in 2009. This script comes with a "Writers Guild of America, west, Inc." logo on the front cover. Does not appear to be an original shooting script, as it comes with notes that this is to "be utilized in the course of face-to-face teaching activities, in a classroom or similar place devoted to instruction." Numbered "43" on the front cover. The 66 pages of the typed script are with a title page and a final page denoting it was "prepared by" Continental Mimeo Service in Los Angeles. Measures 8.5" x 11". In Good condition with considerable soiling and toning on the front cover, as well as throughout, along with corner bumping. COA from Heritage Auctions.Auction Info
