    Description

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Concept Oil Painting of "Ferenginar Concept Art 2" For Episode "Family Business" (Paramount TV, 1993-1999). Concept painting accomplished in oil on 37" x 18" brown paper. Painted by Syd Dutton. An atmospheric piece, Dutton does an excellent job of communicating the contradictory nature of the planet with its obvious opulence and technical advancement juxtaposed so closely against a swampy, desolate back country where buildings resemble mushrooms or fungi.

From the script: "The capital city of the [Ferengi] home world rises out of the swamp, a series of dome-like structures pilled almost haphazardly one atop another." Signed by the artist.

In Very Good Plus condition exhibiting expected production wear, minor scuffing, and soiling. COA from Heritage Auctions.
