    Star Trek: The Original Series-style U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701 miniature model crafted from the production molds of the famous Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Episode "Trials and Tribble-ations". (Paramount, 1993-1999) Large-scale model miniature of the iconic Original Series U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701. Legendary miniature effects wizard Greg Jein, himself an avid fan of the Original Series, was hired to recreate the original Enterprise for this special episode in which the crew of Deep Space Nine travel back in time and encounter Captain Kirk and his crew. Constructed of cast fiberglass, resin, vacuum formed plastic and carved rigid polyfoam components from original studio molds, with nacelles, deflector dish and shuttle bay door derived from original patterns and blueprints. Measuring 29 x 67.5 x 23.5 in. with the saucer section measuring 31 in. round. With opaque white domed Bussard Intake Collector caps and Upper Main Sensor Array Platform dome bubble at the top of hull. Expertly studio painted in industrial gray, silver and white and detailed right down to the ship's name, call numbers, red and yellow stripe badging and tiny windows on the hull. Affixed to a black 25 x 16 x 6 in. metal display stand in the shape of the Starfleet insignia. Exhibiting minor age and wear to some of the decal lettering. In very good to fine condition.
