    Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Matte Painting of Ashalla For Episodes "Emissary" and "What You Leave Behind" (Paramount TV, 1993-1999). Matte painting accomplished in mixed media on 96" x 49". Masonite flush with pine frame. Painted by Robert Stromberg. This painting established Ashalla, the capitol of Bajo after Cardassian occupation forces departed for episodes "Emissary" (1993) and "What You Leave Behind" (1993), the final episode in the series.

    The view was a motion-control move from left to right while overlooking a foreground miniature of a rooftop with scattered debris. A cloud split was used to impart movement to the painted sky. A low-flying bird was an additional element, flying right to left both in front and behind various painted structures.

    In Very Good Plus condition exhibiting expected production wear, minor scuffing, possible corner bumping and soiling. This lot requires third party shipping from Los Angeles, CA. COA from Heritage Auctions.
