    Set of four Torchieres used in numerous MGM productions. (MGM) Set of four painted gold and black torchieres. Measuring 66 ½" tall and 27" wide. One is original and the other three are casts of the original made of plaster. All exhibit paint chips and normal wear. Their use spans over three decades starting in the early 1930s in such films as Today We Live (1933), Naughty Marietta (1935), Marie Antoinette (1938), The Great Waltz (1938), DuBarry Was a Lady (1943), The Three Musketeers (1943), On the Town (1949), Madame Bovary (1949), Scaramouche (1952), The Merry Widow (1952), Prisoner of Zenda (1952), The Band Wagon (1953), The Great Lady Gives an Interview (Lana Turner) (1954), The Student Prince (1954), Gigi (1958) and other MGM productions.
