Description

Screen-used hero illuminating blaster with original holster from Forbidden Planet Screen-used hero illuminating blaster with original holster from Forbidden Planet. (MGM, 1956) From the extensive archive of noted Forbidden Planet collector and film director Bill Malone comes one of the greatest original props from this film ever to be offered, as much of the rest was altered and re-purposed by the studio afterward. Each of the principal crew of the "UPC C-57D" space cruiser carried one of these. Constructed of a silver and gray fiberglass body with brass end-cap and a turned translucent Perspex barrel which illuminates when trigger is pulled. Equally, if not more rare, is the original studio leather holster, and this one is identified as "Dick Anderson" better known as Richard Anderson of The Six Million Dollar Man. Blaster and holster are entirely original and unrestored with exception of internal wiring for illumination effect.
