Screen-used hero "Fuzzball" animatronic puppet from Captain EO with Michael Jackson shoulder rig Screen-used hero "Fuzzball" animatronic puppet from Captain EO with Michael Jackson shoulder rig. (Lucasfilm, 1986) This creature from the Francis Ford Coppola directed Disney 3D epic starring Michael Jackson is seen throughout the film as a sidekick to Jackson's character. This is the only fully animatronic cable-controlled Fuzzball creature made for the film and used for all of the close-up shots. This cable articulated puppet is constructed of foam latex with hand-punched fake fur with intact puppeteering actuators for controlling the hands, wings and arms. Measures 8 in. tall x 8 ½ in. wide with 19 in. long tail. Exhibits only slight latex deterioration along the tail. Includes Michael Jackson shoulder harness rig that allowed "Fuzzball" to sit on his shoulder while operated by the puppeteers. Includes letter from Rick Baker.
