Sam Jaffe "Simonides" costume sketch for Ben-Hur. (MGM, 1959) Vintage original costume sketch accomplished in pencil and gouache on 12.5 x 16.25 in. artists vellum leaf tipped to backing board. Signed "Elizabeth Haffenden 1957" bottom right. With pencil notations right border and (7) fabric swatches, with 1-only fabric remnants. Exhibiting wrinkling and bubbling, soft corners, age and soiling. In vintage good to very good condition.
