Description
Ryan Gosling "Driver" costume and sunglasses from Drive. (Bold Films, 2011) This costume was worn by Ryan Gosling as "Driver" in the arthouse action film Drive. The costume consists of a Williams TechEd brand short sleeve white shirt, a pair of dark gray distressed Dockers pants, white quilted satin jacket and a pair of brown leather driving gloves. Original costumer's tags attached listing production information. The jacket was a sample made for the production. Gosling can be seen wearing the shirt and pants during several scenes and most notably during the sequence when he takes "Irene" (Carey Mulligan) and "Benicio" (Kaden Leos) out for an afternoon drive to a creek and when he drives them home. Gloves are visible throughout the film whenever "driver" is hired for a caper. This sample jacket was not screen-used, but Gosling can be seen wearing similar jackets in test shots for the film. Garments are in good screen-used condition. Also included are Converse Limited Edition "Cruise Control" sunglasses with amber tinted lenses and brass frames and hinges attached to faux tortoise shell plastic arms. Worn during the sequence when "Driver" is dressed as a police officer for a movie car stunt. Original Converse carrying case and cloth holder included (not screen used).
