DescriptionRussell Crowe "Maximus" Costume Ensemble from Gladiator (Dreamworks, 2000). Russell Crowe is Maximus Decimus Meridius, former Roman general, enslaved and forced to fight in the arena as a gladiator. He wears this costume in his earliest scenes as a slave/gladiator. The (4) piece ensemble includes (1) sleeveless, knee-length tunic, constructed from unbleached cotton fabric, (1) wide brown leather belt with three straps
and buckles, handwritten on lining, "XL Max," (1) pair of brown, lace-up boots with "Russell Crowe" handwritten on the interior, and (1) sword with 21.5" tooled aluminum blade and wooden hilt and handle. All pieces are expertly studio distressed. Overall in Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
