The game is themed around the adventurous travels of the legendary Robert Ripley across seven continents to discover the strange, the bizarre and the unusual! To accomplish this, the pinball playfield offers Pop bumpers, Slingshots, Standup targets, Spinning targets, Magnets, ramp diverters, up-post and 4-ball multiball feature. Also special features like: a triggered talking shrunken head that says funny things, an exotic idol that commands a powerful force field, a temple that can only be unlocked through a special tic-tac-toe trigger code, and an always fun vari-target! A special feature aptly entitled "Believe it or Not" enables the beginning player to achieve some of the game's goals early on, while it allows the more advanced player to extend their opportunities through better play. Created by STERN Pinball, Inc. and Pat Lawlor Design, Inc in 2004. Pat Lawlor has designed some of the most beloved titles in the history of pinball, including The Addams Family, Twilight Zone, and STERN's Monopoly. The infamous procurer of oddities, Robert Ripley sparked his own Believe It or Not! newspaper cartoon, radio show, TV show, books and the famous Believe It or Not!
