    William Randolph Hearst Recording and Typed Letter Signed to Mark Hellinger. The typed one page letter, 7.5" x 7" (trimmed), April 18, 1931, Los Angeles, on Los Angeles Examiner letterhead and signed "W. R. Hearst", is thanking Hellinger for a copy of his book. The recording, on two 12" aluminum acetate discs, broadcast on radio station WMCA at the Hammerstein Theatre in New York on April 23, 1940, features Hearst giving advice to young men on how to be a successful businessman. The recordings are muffled but are still audible, the letter is mounted, else Very Good. From the Mark Hellinger Archive. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
