Stay Away Joe - Special Location Radio Program LP (1967). All evidence indicates RCA needed only one copy of this LP -- and made only one copy. That makes it the most sought-after, most valuable Elvis record on the planet. Own it and you stand alone in the Elvis world!
It was made for a one-time broadcast by only one radio station -- KVIO, a Cottonwood, Arizona station that served the Sedona area (where Stay Away, Joe was filmed). Ensuring the show ran exclusively on this station, the host (Joe Adams) mentions the call letters K-V-I-O, which precluded the possibility of any other station playing it, as well as the need for more than one copy!
The self-contained 30-minute program features nine of Elvis' gospel tunes, along with Adams thanking Sedona and Cottonwood for the hospitality shown the cast and crew during production of the film. Also included is publicity for Elvis' two gospel albums (His Hand In Mine and the recently issued How Great Thou Art) as well as the upcoming (December 3, 1967) Special Christmas Radio Program.
Do not mistake this unique LP for an acetate, factory experimental disc, or a test pressing of any kind. This is a standard production disc, manufactured (that is, "stamped" or "pressed", not "cut") exactly like any normal commercial or promotional record, and it's in Near Mint condition! Also included in this lot are:
    1) Elvis' one and only personal copy of a single-sided acetate of "Stay Away" (musically, "Greensleeves"), the title theme from the Stay Away, Joe film. This alternate version of "Stay Away" has yet to be issued on any record or CD.
    2) An 8.5" x 11" page of Stay Away, Joe recording session notes, which documents time, date, location, musicians present, singers present, others present, tracks recorded, session costs, etc.

An exceptionally fascinating piece of Elvis recording history and one of the premier offerings in our auction! COA from the Elvis Presley Estate at Graceland.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
