Description

Twister (Warner Bros., 1996), "Dorothy II" Storm Research Device. Original barrel-shaped prop constructed of metal, resin, PVC pipe, repurposed cameras, and equipment with an image of "Dorothy Gale" from The Wizard of Oz with stenciled text reading "II Dorothy" on either side of the exterior. Prop is fixed inside a caution-yellow cage and measures approx. 44.75" x 36" x 42". In the film, Dorothy models I - IV are the revolutionary tornado research devices used by Jo Harding (Helen Hunt), Bill Harding (Bill Paxton) and the rag-tag team of storm chasers throughout the Jan de Bont action film. The prop exhibits production wear, some paints loss, missing components, and discoloration. Special shipping arrangements will apply. Obtained from Warner Bros.
