The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956), Yul Brynner "Rameses" "Water to Blood" Ceramic Vessel. Vintage original ceramic vessel constructed of thrown ceramic with oversized lip. Expertly studio painted to appear as glazed and fired ancient Egyptian vase, decorated with floral and water motif, with silver oxide band and fluted lip. One of the vessels made for the unforgettable scene when Rameses (Yul Brynner) tries to change the blood in the Nile back to pure water, only to find the water from his vessel has also become blood. Measuring 12" tall x 7" diameter. Exhibiting age, production wear and handling. Obtained from Christie's South Kensington, December 14, 1995, Lot #220. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
