The Iconic Boxing Championship Belt from "Rocky II" and "Rocky III." United Artists, 1979 / Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer/United Artists, 1982. Yellow, red, white, and red gathered satin, massive silver metal medallion in center with surrounding red stones while text reads "Ring / Magazine Award / World / Heavyweight / Championship," sepia images of boxers James J. Corbett and George Foreman flank the medallion, tan leather 'double belt' back closure; displayed on a piece of board (so it lays flat); used in the two films by Stallone as "Rocky Balboa." (Please note two other images of boxers were removed from the back of belt when Stallone had it framed in a shadowbox.)
    9" x 21" (when flat)

This is the Holy Grail of "Rocky." This is the championship belt used in "Rocky II" when "Rocky" fought "Apollo Creed" [Carl Weathers] for a second time to win the heavyweight championship and it was also used throughout "Rocky III." It is the belt that Stallone as "Rocky Balboa" held in the air during the famous "Yo, Adrian! I did it" speech. Additionally, it is seen all over the world in numerous commercials and print advertising. It was proudly on display in Stallone's bedroom since production wrapped on the third film in 1982 and is one of his personal favorite pieces from the "Rocky" franchise.

"For Rocky it obviously meant the culmination of a life that had been lived in the shadows, in one of disappointment -- and finally he became the man he was meant to be. He did it through love and integrity and dedication -- but he also did it through just pure guts. He walked through a wall of fire. It's very Americana - how this country was founded through hard, hard work. When I lifted this belt over my head and said, "Yo, Adrian, I did it!" I don't think I was more moved ever in my entire film career!"
