Description

The Honeymooners - The Jackie Gleason Show (CBS TV, 1966-1970), Art Carney "Ed Norton" Wax Bust and Display. Vintage original wax bust by Stubergh Studios resembling Ed Norton (Art Carney), the upstairs neighbor and best friend of Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason) in The Honeymooners. Constructed of wax with wooden stabilizing internal armature around the neck area, with acrylic eyes, punched-in hair and eyebrows, and studio-painted features. Measuring approx. 15" x 11" x 9" and stamped to back, "THE STUBERGHS / Los Angeles, CA" and handwritten "A-115" to bottom. Bust is mounted to a fiberglass mannequin dressed in a brown fedora, black vest, white T-shirt, gray slacks with a black belt, and black socks and shoes to complete Norton's instantly recognizable look. Mannequin is positioned in a seated pose and measures approx. 64" in length. Stubergh Studios was a Los Angeles-based wax studio renowned for their realistic wax figures, particularly those of iconic figures from film and television history. Bust exhibiting signs of age and wear including paint loss to the exterior revealing underlying wax layer. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From The Stewart Berkowitz Television Treasures Collection.
