Starfleet Communicator from Star Trek: The Original Series (Paramount TV, 1966-1969). Vintage original Starfleet Communicator prop constructed of 2-piece heavy vacuum-formed, textured black ABS plastic shell bisected by a tooled aluminum seam plate, with brass metal round hinges and vented flip-screen, which opens to reveal an aluminum mid-plate featuring foil mesh mic grill and 2-stud buttons, a round moiré-patterned bezel, and 3-posts for gem lights with 1-red faceted gem (2-missing), between the bezel and the mid-plate. 4-small flathead screws on the verso of the device hold the 2-shell sections together. The iconic, instantly recognizable hand prop measures 4.25" x 2.5" x 1.2". Exhibiting age, production wear, some warping and flaking to the moiré pattern face, and minor oxidization to metal components. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
