Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (TCF, 1978), Pair of Death Star Surface Elements. Original miniature pieces of the ominous Imperial space station. Constructed by Industrial Light & Magic's (ILM) model miniature department of cast resin and rigid polyfoam. painted varying greys. The darker grey tower measures 3.5" x 2" x 2" with numerous lines and small outcroppings. The smaller panel features four vents/corridors, painted lighter grey with 2-darker strips and measures 3" x 3". These elements comprise small portions of the massive Death Star set and can be seen as X-Wing fighters fly at high speeds over the station's surface during the Battle of Yavin. These were also repurposed in the filming of Star Wars: Episode VI -The Return of the Jedi (TCF, 1983). Exhibiting production wear, handling and minor paint loss. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
