Star Trek: Voyager and Enterprise Screen Used Foam Mock-Ups (Circa 1990s - 2000s). Includes: 1) two foam core models of the Voyager ship, measuring 15" x 6" and 25" x 10", created by the Voyager art department at the request of Visual Effects Supervisor Dan Curry and was used as an on screen stand in reference for photographing matching angles of the hero Voyager model in the episodes "Basics" parts one and two, and "The 37's"; 2) a life-size (approximately 72" x 22") foam core mock-up of a Xindi insectoid used on screen to show the reflection of the insectoid on Dr. Phlox's protective visor in the Enterprise season three episode "Hatchery", signed on the verso in silver paint by Curry. All items in Very Good condition, showing some wear from use. The insectoid shows some fragility and weakness, primarily at the glued joints. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: On the Voyager mock-ups, VFX supervisor Curry says: "After measuring the footprint of the full size Voyager on the ground (345 meters by 116 meters), we placed the foam core mock-up as a forced perspective miniature to aline with the position the starship would occupy. We also took careful note of the angle of sunlight. Upon return to the studio I removed the support rod and the part of Voyager that would be behind the rocks on the location.  Matching the correct angle of sunlight to draw in the shadow the full size ship would cast.
This would serve as a temp composite so the editors, director, and producers to cut into the show while the hero model is being shot and composited."
