Planet of the Apes (TCF, 1968), Greg Jein-Built Miniature Icarus Spaceship Display Model. Model of astronaut George Taylor's (Charlton Heston) spacecraft, the Icarus. Expertly crafted from molds taken from the production model by master model builder and miniature effects artist Greg Jein. The hand-painted resin model measures approx. 11" x 6.5" x 11". The Icarus appears at the beginning of the beloved sci-fi classic film as the astronauts escape their crash-landing before the spacecraft sinks into the water. Model exhibits some minor wear. Obtained from Greg Jein. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
