Paul Shaffer Modesty Panel and Wall Section from Late Night with David Letterman (NBC TV, 1982-1993).. A three-sided modesty panel unit which served as a façade around longtime bandleader Paul Shaffer's keyboard, together with an accent wall section for the area behind The World's Most Dangerous Band on Late Night with David Letterman, that were used for the final years of the show. Both are made of wood, painted in bright blues, turquoise, lavender, and yellow and appear like tile, with a speckle finish. The modesty panel measures approximately 40 in. x 53 in. x 22 in., while the wall measures 71 in. x 27 in. x 2 in. The exhibit moderate scuffs and wear commensurate with age, construction, and many years of production use, but remain in very good condition. Acquired from NBC Productions.
