Mars Attacks! (Warner Bros., 1996), Martian Puppet Casting and Stop Motion Unit Design Documents. Original group of stop-motion production elements from the 1996 science fiction disaster comedy including (1) stop motion Martian puppet wire frame armature measuring 16" x 8.5" with wooden head, (3) Martian suit torso elements crafted from resin measuring 3.5" x 6" (1-with painted elements), (1) blue 9.5" x 12" folder containing a "portfolio of roughs" design documents and a collection of 8.5" x 11" memoranda documenting the production of the film, (3) bound stop-motion unit storyboards, (2) printouts of 17" x 10" conceptual artwork for the interior of the Martian spaceships, (3) pink 17" x11" printouts of various articles including newspaper pages. This lot provides an incredibly-detailed collection documenting the various stages of the film's production with insight into how the comedic creatures from Mars came to life on the big screen.
