Liam Neeson "Qui-Gon Jinn" Stunt Lightsaber with Blade from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (TCF, 1999). Original lightsaber prop used for dueling sequences in Episode I. Crafted of urethane resin expertly painted in black with silver accents with a red central static knob. The hilt measures 17" (including 6" metal threaded rod onto which the 37.5" plastic-coated, green aluminum FX "blade" is attached, as configured for the filming of the dueling sequences-production). Overall length with blade is 48.5". Hilt exhibits production wear with minor scuffs in paint finish. Aluminum FX "blade" exhibits numerous dings from impact from the duel with Darth Maul (Ray Park). Provenance: Stunt man Mark Newman obtained the lightsaber following production; later sold by Profiles in History Hollywood Auction 56, July 28, 2013, Lot 659. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
