Independence Day (TCF, 1996), Miniature Mothership Control Screen and Exterior Panel. Original pieces including (1) control screen crafted from foam, wood, and plastic with laser-cut metal accents and internal fiber optics and (1) exterior panel crafted from wood and resin expertly painted to appear as alien organic material. Screen measures approx. 31" x 27.5" with a loose "control button" component measuring 13". Mothership exterior panel measures approx. 3' x 4'. The interior panel can be seen in several shots inside the craft. This particular prop features the "skull and crossbones" art that flashes onscreen. Pieces exhibit production wear and general age from display. Control panel is missing one of the button components, has considerable foam and paint loss, plastic screen is unaligned, and part of the wood frame is missing. Mothership exterior panel exhibits some chips in the paint and resin. Obtained from Twentieth Century Fox. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
