Hook (Amblin, 1991), Dustin Hoffman "Captain Hook" Replica Engraved Hook Hand and Gauntlet. Original (2) piece replica includes (1) hook-hand prop and (1) leather cuff. The hook is constructed of engraved steel affixed to a sterling silver sheath fashioned to conceal the wearer's hand and embellished with a fine, gold tone braid around the edges. The silver sheath has a filigree pattern stamped on the outer sheath and the base of the hook and features an internal grab handle for ease of use. The hook is highly polished with a pointed end that could do damage. The leather black cuff closes with grommets that are laced with suede cord and silver-colored end caps. This accessory is an icon synonymous with Hook (Dustin Hoffman) the character, and can be seen throughout the film as he challenges Peter Pan (Robin Williams) and takes his children hostage. Created for display at Planet Hollywood by famed Hollywood armorer Tony Swatton who crafted the original prop hook and swords for the film. Hook measures 15" x 4.5" and gauntlet measures 6.5 x 4.25". Exhibits age, wear and some oxidation. Obtained from Tony Swatton. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
