Description

Herve Villechaize "Tattoo" Signature Island Golf Cart from Fantasy Island (CBS TV, 1977-1984). Distinctive fiberglass body golf cart with red striped canvas canopy over a metal frame, white vinyl upholstered seat, rear-mounted spare tire, applied vinyl decals, and powered by a gasoline lawn mower engine mounted in the back. Custom built by Mini Cars created and manufactured by F.W. & Associates, Inc. of Tempe, AZ with their small plaque affixed to the frame in the cockpit. Used by the actor, Herve Villechaize on Seasons 1-6 of the production, and then went home with the actor following a contentious salary dispute. The canopy was later replaced and features some light restoration to the wheels and gas can. The Tattoo hood decal was added later in the show's run. Measures 84" L x 40" H x 32" W. Also includes two Fantasy Island CBS TV typewritten call sheets dated January 13 and 14, 1983 for season 6, episode 19 "Edward/Extraordinary Miss Jones" featuring Sammy Davis Jr., LeVar Burton, Esther Rolle, and others. The cart exhibits some signs of production use, including light scuffs, and marks, toning to the canopy with a small tear to one edge, but remains in Very Good condition.
