Hero Cylon A-B Raider Filming Miniature from Galactica 1980 (Universal TV, 1980). Vintage original model miniature constructed of self-skinning polyfoam, resin and mixed-media components with sculptural tech and surface detail, expertly studio painted in industrial grays with painted and decal badging and embellishments. This FX ship also includes metal cylinders in the rear left and right rocket engines and metal mounting armature sockets in the rear and front of the ship. The A-B Raider is an advanced form of Cylon Raider crewed by six (instead of the standard three occupants) and possesses a far greater offensive range than its predecessor. This A-B Raider model is known to have been created by modifying a principal hero Cylon Raider filming miniature from Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979). The 22" x 13" x 4" model exhibits age, some minor rubbing to paint, and general handling. Retaining 2-electronic wire plugs and a length of plastic hose emanating from the rear of the craft (electronics and mechanicals untested). Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
