Gremlins (Warner Bros., 1984) "Gizmo" Exhibit Display Made by Chris Walas. Original display figure of the adorable Mogwai, Gizmo. This 1:1 figure measures 10" x 10" in a standing position and is constructed of cast polyfoam, resin, with faux brown and white fur over expertly painted skin and resin eyes. Chris Walas, an Academy Award-winning special effects artist, was the creative force behind the design of the endearing Mogwais and their transformation into mischievous gremlin counterparts which they transform into if fed after midnight. Walas also contributed the special effects makeup for this holiday-themed horror-comedy. Exhibits light display wear and age. Obtained from Chris Walas, Inc. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
