Greg Allman Personal Resistol Cowboy Hat (ca. 1995). Original black felt cowboy hat with a telescope crease crown. The Resistol brand logo is on the inside of the hat with "Self-Conforming, Western" label. There are 2-bias labels, 1-with "Long Oval" and 1-with "7 3/8." Greg Allman was a founding member of The Allman Brothers and wrote many of their hit songs including "Melissa" and "Midnight Rider." Allman wore this style of Resistol cowboy hat to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies when the band was admitted in 1995. Exhibits some wear and aging including a stain on the underside of the brim. Obtained from Greg Allman. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auction.
