Ernie Kovacs Magazine Gag Prop. This is a February 12, 1955 edition of The New Yorker magazine, irreverently transformed by Ernie Kovacs - for purposes of his TV show - into The Snobbe Shop: Gifts for One Who Has Everything. Annotated script pages pasted inside the magazine include ideas for the sportsman (e.g., "a tennis racquet made of sheared beaver"), the rich child ("a promiscuous nurse"), Dad ("a large bath towel and a wet girl"), and more. Also interesting for the 55-year-old cartoons and advertisements, this TV artifact gives ample insight into one of the medium's most subversively satiric talents. In Very Good condition. From the Ernie Kovacs/Edie Adams Estate Archive.
