Description
Bunker Family Porch, Exterior/Interior Wall and Various Set Dressing Elements from All in the Family (CBS TV, 1971-1979) and Archie Bunker's Place (1979-1983). Heritage proudly presents the original front door, front door/living room set wall, front porch elements, and furnishings from one of the most famous houses in all of TV land, 704 Hauser Street, Queens, New York. The home of Archie & Edith Bunker and the-nine season run of All in the Family, plus the additional five seasons of its popular spinoff series, Archie Bunker's Place. Included in this grouping are: (1) The heavy, double-sided Bunker home exterior porch/interior living room set wall, with one side covered with faded clapboard siding, a small black metal light fixture, and the home's famous "704" address in black metal numerals; and the interior side covered in careworn yellow wallpaper. Fitting in the front door frame is (2) the Bunker home solid "walnut" front door with four small glass windows at top, one bearing a faded American flag decal, (3) a trio of low set wall elements, one with wooden posts, that sat parallel and perpendicular to the exterior side of the wall, (4) a wicker porch chair painted and studio distressed with striped upholstery cushion, (5) a dark, wooden magazine rack that sat just within the front door (with original magazines present), and (6) the brass-painted ceramic elephant statue with upraised trunk that perennially sat atop the table. The pieces range in sizes from 108 in. tall x 212 in. long x 24 in. deep for the largest set wall, 93 in. tall x 132 in. long x 25 in. deep for the longest low set wall, 84 in. tall x 36 in. wide x 1.5 in. deep for the front door. All exhibit moderate wear commensurate with age, construction, and extensive production use during their nine seasons on the air, but remain in good condition overall. All objects directly acquired from series creator, Mr. Norman Lear.Heritage Auctions provides as much information as possible but strongly encourages in-person inspection.
