Blade Runner Harrison Ford Blaster, with Crew Jacket. Based on the novel by Philip K. Dick and directed by Ridley Scott, Blade Runner (1982) initially polarized critics and audiences alike but quickly became a cult favorite and, with the release of a director's cut some ten years later, quickly became classified as an influential science fiction classic. The rubber prop pistol was used when a "soft" version of the pistol was needed during the filming of action scenes (to minimize the risk of injury to the actors), as seen with Harrison Ford in his role as Rick Deckard, a cop who hunts renegade genetically-engineered beings. The pistol is in Very Fine condition with some mild wear and soiling from production use. The original resin grips have lightened in color after years of storage -- which is of note, as there have been a few other stunt versions of the blaster offered at auction over the years that have orange-colored grips, with some of these being described as having "replaced" grips. The prop is accompanied by a vintage black nylon crew jacket with Blade Runner logo on the back and COAs from model-maker Paul Curley and key grip Pat Van Auken.
