Batman (TCF TV, 1966-1968), Burgess Meredith "Penguin" Mayoral Campaign Posters. Vintage original pair of campaign items used by Penguin (Burgess Meredith) for his mayoral campaign in Season 2, Episode 17, "Hizzoner The Penguin" of the original Batman television series, consisting of (1) silkscreen cardboard campaign slogan poster featuring a Mod-style penguin graphic with the slogan "Pengy / The People's Pick" on white background, measuring 30" x 37.5", and (1) silkscreen cardboard parody "Gallus-Poll" poster measuring 27.5" x 17" and with black text on white background showing Penguin with a 30-point lead over the incumbent, Mayor Linseed (Byron Keith). Posters like this are highly visible during the Penguin's campaign rally, which notably featured a performance by musical guests Paul Revere and the Raiders. Both items exhibiting signs of handling and wear including pin holes to top center from production hanging, chips and loss to the Gallus poster, minor silkscreen imperfections, and some damp staining.
