Batman (TCF TV, 1966-1968), Adam West "Batman" Hero Folding Batarang in Original Metal Bat-Belt Holster. Vintage original (2) piece prop and holster including (1) original folding bat-shaped superhero prop constructed of cast resin with a metal hinge at the center and metal clasp to lock the prop in its open position for deployment as the iconic Batarang, Batman's (Adam West) boomerang-inspired device deployed frequently against the thugs and henchmen that assist his enemies, and (1) crescent-shaped, form-fitted metal holster container with a leather strap at the top with transfer lettering, "BAT-A-RANG" and a metal bracket on the verso for threading a Bat Belt through, painted over in the same bright yellow distinct to much of Batman's attire and devices. One of the central and most recognizable components in Batman's bat-tech arsenal, the 15" x 5" x .05" Batarang is expertly studio-finished in luminescent blue automotive paint, with a hole in the left wing for attaching to a rope. Exhibiting age and production use with missing .5" wingtip on one end with occasional chipping, flaking, and cracking in paint finish exposing underlying resin. The holster measures 11" x 5.25" x 1.5" and exhibits age, production use, and scratches. Provenance: Heritage Auctions, "The Greg Jein Collection", October 12-13, 2023, Lot #89096.
