    Description

A Prop Headstone from "Rocky Balboa" (aka "Rocky VI"). Metro Goldwyn Mayer, 2006. Lightweight (31.6 pounds), faux gray-colored stone reading "Adrian / Balboa / March 10, 1950 / January 11, 2002," mounted on a rectangular base; included with two black and white framed photographs showing Stallone as "Rocky Balboa" in the touching graveyard scene where the headstone was used. Interestingly, the young actor who played "Rocky Balboa's" son in the film, Milo Ventimiglia, shot these photographs himself.
    Headstone: 28" x 30" x 6" Photographs framed: 17" x 28"

"This was not an easy decision to make. Adrian was the backbone of Rocky's success and not having her in the movie was very difficult. But, for dramatic purposes, Rocky's journey had to be a rough one. To make it as dramatic as possible, I thought that Adrian should have passed away and Rocky's grief is what drives the whole film. So this graveyard scene is one of the first ones in the movie and it sets the tone for the rest of the film."
