In the classic form, made of composite material (likely wood and resin), painted gold and black, bottom has small plaque reading "MGM Studio / Property / Culver City, Cal.;" one of a group of faux Oscars seen in numerous scenes throughout the film when Kirk Douglas' ["Jonathan Shields"] office is the setting -- co-star Barry Sullivan ["Fred Amiel"] even picks one up to start his reminiscence.
