Description
Storybook Land Disneyland Attraction Poster (Walt Disney Productions, 1955). Vintage original hand-pulled silkscreened poster measuring 36" x 54" and designed by renowned Disney artist Bjorn Aronson. With an imposing image of Monstro from the 1940 animated classic, Pinocchio, this poster evokes the sense of adventure park-goers would experience as they entered Disneyland's Storybook Land during the park's grand opening on July 17th, 1955. The pastel-colored poster was used in promotion of the Canal Boats attraction, where guests found themselves swallowed by the monstrous whale as they made their way through venues featuring miniature versions of famous Disney film locations. Displays edge and corner wear with instances of clear tape across the back, creases, a few minor scuffs, and subtle tearing to the top border. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.Auction Info
