Elvis Presley "Flaming Star" Die-Cut Lobby Display (1960). The movie's generally considered one of Elvis' best performances, and is 'unencumbered' by a lot of songs, per his request for a medium concentrating on his acting. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as successful at "G. I. Blues", which had been released just a month before, so that played into the hands of Colonel Parker, who argued that Elvis' fans wanted singing! Formulaic movies with lots of singing ensued. The die-cut lobby display was only sent to select theaters, so it's rare when one turns up. In fact, this is the first time an example has even been offered by Heritage, the world's largest auctioneer of movie posters. It measures 57" x 32" and is in Very Good condition, with some general, overall wear.
