Destination Moon and Other Lot (Pathé, 1950). Folded, Fine+. Insert (14" X 36"), One Sheet (2) ( 27" X 41"), Lobby Card Set (11" X 14"). Winner of an Academy Award for Special Effects, this groundbreaking and thoughtful sci-fi film centers around scientists John Archer, Warner Anderson, and Tom Powers attempting to pioneer space travel but is finding public resistance. The picture is based on noted fiction writer Robert A. Heinlein's story, Rocketship Galileo, which receives an excellent adaptation by George Pal. The insert included has a tape stain in the lower border and some border and fold wear. Included are posters from another Heinlen adaptation, Project Moonbase (Lippert, 1953). Included is a one sheet which shows some significant wear with chipped corners, tape and some fold separation. There is also a lobby set for the film in good condition with pinholes and a chip in one card. Finally, there is a copy of the one sheet to From the Earth to the Moon (RKO, 1958), which has pinholes in the upper corners.
