Description

A Seating Chart for the Atlanta Film Premiere of "Gone With The Wind," 1939. An oversized seating plan of the famous Loew's New Grand Theatre in downtown Atlanta with names of the attendees penciled-in in boxes representing where they sat, including (in alphabetical order and by how they were actually written): Alicia Rhett, Colbert, De Havilland, Dietz, DOS, Gable, Jock, Keyes, LB Mayer, Leigh, Lombard, Mayor, Mitchell, Mrs. Selznick, Munson, Paley, and Rutherford among others; also noted are blocks of seats assigned to "MGM, Mayor Guest, Gable Guest, MM Guest" and the like -- fascinating to see who sat next to who at this now historic film premiere which took place on December 16, 1939. (Please note the chart displays crease marks where it was folded and crease marks due to age.)
