Rock Hudson Black-and-White Photographs by Noted Photographer John Bryson (circa 1957).
These 21 photographs were commissioned by Rock Hudson and were likely captured while shooting the film Something of Value. The headshot images feature Hudson on set and in more casual settings. John Bryson (1924-2005) was a photojournalist best known for his ability to capture celebrities and world leaders at work and at leisure. His subjects included President John F. Kennedy, Nikita Khrushchev, Armand Hammer, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe and a host of world leaders and screen stars. These images range in size from 7.5" x 9.5" to 10.25" x 13.5" (most in the larger size). Each bears a "John / Bryson/ Box 616 / Beverly Hills / California" stamp on the verso. The 21 photographs are contained in a large 12.5" x 14.75" custom black leather binder with gilt-stamped titles and rules bound by Ronnie Gousman. Each photo is placed in a plastic sleeve that is bound to the spine. Beautiful condition.
